How treatment goes

From first scan to retainers

Invisalign treatment takes several months. Most patients complete treatment within 6 to 18 months, depending on complexity.

Consultation & 3D scan
The orthodontist examines your teeth and bite and takes a 3D scan. The scan is used to plan each stage of treatment and its estimated duration.
First aligners
Your custom aligners
You receive your first sets and instructions on how to wear them. Small tooth-coloured bumps called attachments may be bonded to some teeth to help the aligners grip.
Every 6–8 weeks
Wearing & check-ups
You wear the aligners 20–22 hours a day and switch to a new set every 1–2 weeks. At check-ups the orthodontist checks that your teeth move as planned and gives you the next sets.
After treatment
Retainers
Teeth tend to drift back after treatment, so a retainer helps hold them in place. Your orthodontist recommends the right type for you.

Mild pressure in the first days with a new set is normal. If an aligner hurts or does not fit well, contact your orthodontist. Sometimes additional aligners, called refinements, are needed to finish the plan.

Retainers help keep teeth in place

After the last aligner, teeth tend to move back toward their old position. A retainer helps prevent this. Retainers are usually worn full-time for the first few months and then at night for the long term.

Our price list includes Invisalign Vivera® retainers: AED 1,650 for one jaw and AED 3,200 for both jaws. A removable retainer costs AED 1,100 per jaw. Your orthodontist tells you which retainer suits you.

I came with strong pain over the sixth tooth, and the doctor entered my position, took into account the fact that I am a breastfeeding mother and did the treatment without antibiotics, it took more visits (and more work to him). In addition to his professional skills, I was pleasantly surprised by his human quality: English is not my native language, and I did not immediately understand what kind of treatment I have to do.
