What to Expect After Treatment
— Mild pain or discomfort when chewing may last from a few days up to 2 weeks. Take a painkiller if needed.
— Tenderness at the injection site or gum discomfort from the rubber dam may occur. These sensations usually go away within 1–3 days.
When to Contact Your Dentist
— If the temporary filling falls out, see your dentist the same day.
— A slight fever or swelling near the treated area is a normal reaction, but you should still contact your endodontist.
What to Avoid
— Do not eat until the numbness from anesthesia wears off to avoid biting your cheek or tongue.
— Avoid hard food for 1–2 hours if you received a temporary filling.
— Do not chew with the treated tooth until all discomfort has passed.
What to Do
— The treated tooth becomes more fragile. Schedule a crown or inlay restoration without delay to prevent fractures.

متى يجب مراجعة طبيب الأسنان
— إذا سقطت الحشوة المؤقتة، راجع طبيب الأسنان في نفس اليوم.
— قد تظهر حرارة خفيفة أو تورم في منطقة العلاج. هذا رد فعل طبيعي، ولكن يجب التواصل مع طبيب علاج الجذور.
ما يجب تجنبه
— لا تأكل حتى يزول تأثير التخدير لتجنب عض الخد أو اللسان.
— تجنب الأطعمة الصلبة لمدة 1–2 ساعة إذا تم وضع حشوة مؤقتة.
— لا تمضغ بالسن المعالج حتى تختفي كل أعراض الانزعاج.
ما يجب فعله
— يصبح السن المعالج أكثر هشاشة بعد علاج الجذور. من المهم ترميمه بتاج أو ترصيعة في أقرب وقت لتجنب الكسر.
